SSC CGL Pay 2024 Benefits & Perquisites

House Rent Allowance (HRA): The government-specified city categories were used by the 7th Pay Commission to establish the HRA rates. Group X includes cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Pune, which receive an additional 24% of HRA on top of their base salary. Group Z’s rural areas get 8% HRA, whereas Group Y’s 100 towns, totaling 5 lakhs in population, are eligible for 16% HRA.
