IBPS Clerk is a Common Written Exam
(CWE), conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for
recruitment to nationalized banks in India to fill vacancies for clerical level
jobs.
CWE is a pre-requisite for selection
of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in Public Sector Banks.
IBPS is going to conduct the Clerk exam for the 12th year for FY 2022-23 and hence named IBPS Clerk CRP XII. IBPS Clerk 2022 notification has been released by IBPS on 29th June to recruit clerk posts in 11 public sector banks.

A candidate must be an Indian Citizen or a subject to Nepal or a subject to Bhutan.
Age
Limit is 20 years to 28 years.
· Candidate
should have completed graduation from any discipline or any equivalent
qualification from a recognized university / Board.
·
Computer
Literacy - Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory
i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer
operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as
one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
· Proficiency
in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write
and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a
candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
There are two stages of IBPS Clerk
Exam – Prelims & Mains. Both of the levels will be computer-based written
tests and the candidates will be required to complete the same. Both
Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam will be conducted in 13 regional languages along
with English and in Hindi. The candidates who clear both the exams will be
called for the Document Verification round in the end.
There
are three sections in total and the candidate must clear the cut-off of each
section to proceed to the mains exam round.

will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
The IBPS Clerk Mains exam is also
conducted online in the computer-based mode and has multiple choice-based
questions. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong
answer.

The final score for the IBPS Clerk
exam is calculated keeping the following points in mind:
• Marks obtained in the Preliminary
Exam (Phase-1) will not be considered for final selection.
• Candidates must qualify Phase-2 to
be eligible for final merit.
• The aggregate score out of 100 is
used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank
in each category are finally selected.
The total number of vacancies for IBPS
Clerk 2022 is to be announced by IBPS along with the official notification.
Last year, the vacancies of Clerical Cadre Posts were 7855.

The initial salary package for Clerk
is Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 30,000/- per month, at the time of Joining and the
starting basic pay is Rs 19,900. After the training period, the perks and other
benefits are added and which may vary from bank to bank.
IBPS Clerk is also liable to get other allowances besides salary which depends on the place of posting. These other allowances like TA, DA, HRA are added in the salary and the total amount is what a person under IBPS Clerk gets in hand.
