Agneepath
Scheme 2022
Agneepath or Agnipath Recruitment scheme was launched by
the Union Defence Minister Rajnath
Singh . In a
step that promises radical changes in recruitment for the Indian Armed Forces,
Agneepath scheme would add 46,000
soldiers to Indian Army, Indian Navy and
India Air Force.
The
organization will be executing this new recruitment scheme which is named Agneepath (अग्निपथ स्कीम) and the Armed force for this has been named ‘Agniveers‘.
The
union cabinet has launched this Agneepath scheme for the Indian
Youth to serve in the Armed Force for a period

What is Agneepath
Scheme?
‘Agnipath’ is a short-term defence
recruitment model by the central government. It will be based on an all-India
merit-based selection process for youth aged between 17.5 to 21 years of age.
It is open to both men and women, subject to the vacancies and requirements in
the armed forces.
Eligibility Criteria Agneepath 2022
The aspirant must have qualified class 10th and 12th from a recognized board.
The probationers must
possess a graduation degree from the known University.
The applicant must be a
citizen of India.
All three services will be
enrolled through a centralized online system, with specific rallies and campus
interviews conducted by recognised technical colleges such as Industrial
Training Institutes and the National Skills Qualifications Framework, among
others
Recruits would have to meet the medical eligibility conditions laid down for enrolment in the armed forces as applicable to respective categories/trades.

Salary Package under this scheme
The 1st year salary package
of Rs 4.76 lakh with upgradation of up to Rs 6.92 lakh in 4th year While post
release, Seva Nidhi package is of approx. Rs 11.71 lakh, including interest
(tax free)There’s also a non-contributory insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh.
Provided the individuals receive a Agniveer skill certificate which will assist
in post release job opportunities.
